Strand Celtic under 12 had their first outing of the season with a good competitive game against an excellent Ballisodare side.

A brillant strike by Emma Hansberry sealed a cup double for Strand Celtic in the girls under 14 league final against a gallant Dromore Villa side.

Strand Celtic produced a superb display of football to dethrone reigning girls under champions glenview stars at the showgrounds. Bronagh Kerins and Emma Hansberry were the stars for strand, as between them they scored ten of their sides goals. The final scoreline was very harsh on glenview but strand were deserving winners.

The final will be played against Dromore Villa in The Showgrounds on Tuesday July 15th. Kick off at 7 pm.

Our U 14 Girls team qualified for the Semi Final of the League with a comfortable win over Ballisodare last night.

Strand Celtic Under 16 Girls team make it to the League final following an impressive 5 - 1 victory over Arrow Harps in the semi final.

U14 girls start season as they finished last year.  These girls won the U14 league last year and have now had a tremendous start to this season with 4 wins on the trot.

Our under ten squad played in the sligo-leitrim blitz finals last friday evening at 6pm in the showgrounds. They qualified the previous weekend when as one of our three squads they beat a ballisodare selection in the quarter final.

Both Katie & Ellen Monaghan score twice in final league game of the season.  Goals also from Carla Kivlehan, Ellie McCole & Claire Hanney give Strand U12's a five goal victory to end season on a winning note.
