Our under 14 squad who are travelling to holland in aprilnext year have announced their tour details. All the details are now on our website under 'Tours' section on our website. The team will play in the Holland Easter Classic that is one of hollands major football tournaments. They will stay at the famous De Eemhof centreparc.

Emma Hansberry won her first Irish cap today when she played for the Irish U16 team in Belfast against a Northern Ireland U17 team. Everyone at the club is delighted with Emmas achievement as she has been a fanstatic player and person over the last number of years..

Our Nippers Academy, Colts Academy and Soccer Sisters will take a break for the bank holiday weekend to give parents and coaches a rest !. There was a great turnout on Saturday afternoon last with over 130 kids training on Saturday afternoon last. We will return to training on Saturday afternoon 31st October at 2pm in the recently re-opened strandhill community park. We have been blessed with the weather recently so hopefully this will continue.

All roads led to croke park for the Ireland v Italy game on Saturday night. Our under 12 squad were fortunate enough to win the draw for twenty tickets for the game from the SLigo-Leitrim league.

There were a series of trials recently for the Sligo-Leitrim under age emerging talent squads. Well done to all the lads who both participated and those who advanced at this stage to the next selection stage.

Our Nippers Academy, Colts Academy and Soccer Sisters will all start their training on Saturday afternoon next at 2pm in the recently re-opened strandhill community park. We would ask all coaches to please come along early and to be there at 1:30pm so that the first session can be organised and coaching arrangements finalised for the new season.

Our Nippers Academy, for kids aged under 6 on 1st January 2009, and Colts Academy, kids aged under 10 on 1st January 2009, will be holding their registration nights at the new clubhouse on Friday 4th September between 7 and 8pm and on Saturday 5th of September between 2 and 3pm.

Our family fun day was a great success, despite the awful weather. A great crowd turned out for the day with Packie Bonner the star attraction for the event that doubled up with the official opening of the park.

Sligo’s first ever under age soccer tournament takes place on Saturday next at the recently refurbished strandhill community park. It will see eight teams and over 140 players compete for glory. It forms part of an overall festival of football over the weekend.

Our first ever Glasgow Celtic summer camp was an outstanding success when held last week in Strandhill Community Park.
