Our first youths registration night will be held on Friday night next between 7pm and 8pm. There will be two registration nights on the next two Friday nights at the strand celtic clubhouse.

History will be made at Strandhill community park on Saturday afternoon next when the host club and Sligo Champions Strand Celtic play host to Saint Francis from Dublin. Saint Francis who have an illustrious history in girls and ladies football will start as clear favourites but the Sligo girls will give everything on Saturday afternoon to reach a first ever National Final for the Sligo-Leitrim league.

The second tournament will be held at the recently completed Strandhill Community Park, home of Strand Celtic Football Club. The grounds have had a €750,000 investment in recent years providing two new pitches, a new clubhouse and a new astropark facility.

There will be a preparatory coaches meeting on thursday 21st Jult at 8:30pm in the clubhouse to prepare the teams and agree the training schedule for the new season.

Our girls under 16 team made history for the club when they beat Limerick in the National Cup quarter final to become the first team to make the national cup semi-final.

This was a great achiveement by the girls and they now look forward to the national cup semi final in august. Well done to all the girls and their team management.

The 2009/2010 Strand Celtic Annual General Meeting will be held in the Strand Celtic Clubhouse on Thursday 10th June next at 9pm. All parents, members, supporters and friends are asked to attend and show their support for the club for next season.

Our annual youths award ceremony night is in the Glasshouse hotel on bank holiday monday 7th June. It runs from 7 until 9pm with food and drinks for all our players.

Our Under 12 seven a side team travelled to the Castlebar invitational tournament on Saturday last.

Strand Celtic U16 player Emma Hansberry has been called up to the Republic of Ireland U17 International Squad by manager Noel King.

The AGM of our Colts section is on Thursday night next at 9pm at our clubhouse. As ever new people are more than welcome and it would be great to see some new faces and the old ones as well of course !.
