Strand Celtic Football Club have announced details of a major golf classic to be held in Strandhill golf club on Friday 22nd august. Club chairman, Mick McEnroe, recently announced details of the golf classic at Strandhill golf club at a launch event.
Strand Celtic caters for people from the west side of Sligo town around the Strandhill and Ransboro peninsula and now has over three hundred and fifty members - of which one hundred and forty are aged under ten. The club is currently completing the second phase of our development by horan building services (HBS), which is a clubhouse with additional dressing rooms. Phase One involved an investment of over €100,000 in putting in two grass pitches is now completed.
The club is focused on providing for maximum participation while providing opportunities for boys and girls to develop their talents to the maximum. We run all sorts of additional events for children in our area such as bazaars, christmas parties and fun days.
Sponsorship of a golf tee for the Friday costs €100. It is hoped to conclude the sponsors quickly so that the club can ensure maximum coverage for the various materials being produced for the weekend. Sponsors will have their name on all documentation associated with the golf outing and also a sign will be displayed in a prominent position at each tee. In addition the club will be including the sponsors in the strand celtic newsletter and on the club website – www.strandceltic.com
A team cost €200 for a team of four people and includes a light buffet in the evening at our presentation ceremony. Over foprty teams are expected to take part.
