GLASGOW CELTIC CAMP A GREAT SUCCESS

Our Glasgow Celtic camp run over the last week was an outstanding success with a full camp under the organisation of camp director, Brian Redmond.

This was our fourth camp and each one has got better. The coaches from Celtic were top class with head coach, John Mcstay, having a close affinity with Sligo having lived here since the age of five when his dad, Willie McStay, was in charge of Sligo Rovers. It was during Willies term that he took rovers to FAI cup victory.

The coaches also ran a coach education evening with our under 16 squad and also took our under 14 and senior teams for a training session. As ever the coaching was top drawer with some new and innovative ideas and drills for our own coaches. Sincere thanks to all who attended the coach education sessions.

Well done to our Celtic Camp Director, Brian Redmond, who organized a busy but well run schedule for the week. Our partnership with Glasgow Celtic has continued to flourish and develop.
