The first match of 2010 ended in a much deserved win for Strand Celtic Whites. This was great win for Brian ‘Trapp’ Redmonds charges whose continued hard work in training appears to be paying dividends.
A very entertaining game where the dominance of Strands central defenders Diarmuid Loftus & James Hampson aided by the excellent Ciaran Doyle ensured that a clean sheet was on the cards. Strands goal scoring began with a defence splitting pass from Tristan Probst to Ronan Walsh who duly scored. Energetic displays from Conor Cunningham and Oisin Coogan led to further goals from the battling Aidan Toal & man of the match Ronan Walsh who finished with a hat-trick. Indeed this was a superb display from all players.
