Emma Hansberry won her first Irish cap today when she played for the Irish U16 team in Belfast against a Northern Ireland U17 team.  Everyone at the club is delighted with Emmas achievement as she has been a fanstatic player and person over the last number of years..

Emma started the game at the centre of midfield and to add to her celebrations she scored her first international goal for Ireland.  The final score of the game was Ireland 3 Northern Ireland 3.

On behalf of all of Strand Celtic we congratulate Emma on her first International cap and hope this is the first of many.  Best of luck Emma.
