It was heartbreak for our girls tonight as they narrowly fell at the final hurdle with an extra time defeat to Yeats United in the girls under 16 final at the showgrounds.

Having battled gamely for the hour a poor start in extra time saw us lose our title from last year. This team turned in a fantsatic performance as having lost our central defender, Claire Horan, and top scorer, Emma Hansbury, before kick off though injury our girls turned in a sterling performance. The battling qualities displayed throught the game were a credit to both players and management despite the setback.
