The club are running a football camp over the halloween break for all kids between the ages of 8 and 12.

Our under 16 side, who are currently going well in the league, were desperately unlucky to go down to a last minute goal against one of Galway’s top sides, Mervue United.

Our senior team went down to the league leaders in a super league clash at a windswept strandhill community park on Sunday morning last.

Our under 12 squad advanced to the last sixteen of the connacht under 12 shield with a well deserved if somewhat unconvincing display against a good Snugboro side on Saturday morning last.

Strand Celtic Whites won their second match in a row on friday night last in the U 12 Development league against a strong, imposing Ballymote Celtic team.

The club is very grateful to the Strandhill Warriors Festival committee for their recent donation to the development of our grounds at Strandhill Community Park.

The Republic of Ireland women’s under 17 side kicked off their UEFA Championship, first qualifying phase with a hard earned victory over Turkey. Bronagh KErins played the full ninety minutes in the game.

Strand Celtic will not be participating in the Under 10 Sligo-Leitrim blitz this sunday due to the Brian Gilligan tournament, which takes place in memorium to young player Brian Gilligan who died tragically some years ago.

Our club crest is currently being given an overhaul and modernisation. It will still feature our famous Strandhill canon. The sample crests are available on our club website for comment!. It is intended that all our Colts gear for this season will feature the new crest.

Our under squad had a tough outing on Sunday afternoon last when they participated in the FAI emerging talent blitz in the showgrounds.
