The list of winners from our development club draw is pub;lished below.
We now have in the region of 350 members in our club using the facilities, primarily in the age range from 4 to 14. In conjunction with the trustees of Strandhill Community Park we have put a five phase development plan in place to provide excellent facilities for our community. The first four phases are complete which included:
- laying of two all weather sand based pitches
- construction of a new clubhouse and dressing rooms
- installation of a multi-sports surface for football and tennis
- installation of a community playground
The total investment to date is in the region of €1m.

U19 LEAGUE: STRAND CELTIC 0 SAINT JOHNS 2

Although losing to the league leaders by two goals to nil our U19 side will be wondering how they let this one slip away. DEspite going down to ten man with the early sending off of centre back Conor McDonagh our lads domianted possession but could not match some good passing with finishing.

The Sligo Leitrim Youth Schoolboys Girls League are holding trials for u12/14/16 Girls Emerging Talent programme 2012, trials will be held at Showgrounds Sligo on Sunday 19th February. Girls u12 trials are from 10am until 11.15am, Girls u14/u16 trials are from 12.45pm until 2pm.

Our Under 17 side played out an exciting two all draw with Yeats United on the new astro surface at Celveragh on Saturday afternoon last. After a dull first half the game came to life in the second half with four goals in the last twenty minutes
