MANAGER OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL

JOHN BARRY

John is the manager of our under 12 squad for the 2007/2008 season and has been with our under 12 squads for many seasons. This year John has brought our under 12 squad to the last sixteen of the connacht cup and also saw the under 12 squad reach the league quarter finals where they went down in april on penalties to Cliffoney-Grange. The under 12 squad also won their qualifying group which was very competitive in April.

He is ably assisted by Martin McCabe, Brian Redmond and Damien McCallion as part of the under 12 management team. It is a management team of Clive Woodward style proportions !.

John is married to Orla, herself a renowned player, and has three kids all of whom play for the club. Evan played for our under 12 squad this season. Jack and Emma are star players with our colts squad.

John is a member of an garda siochana and is well known for his calm manner which he brings through in his management style on the pitch.

For his interest outside football John referees part-time. No comment !!
