Our reserve side played out an exciting two all draw with Chaffpool united on Sunday afternoon at a sunny but windswept strandhill community park. U14 BOYS LEAGUE GRP 2: MANOR RANGERS 2 STRAND CELTIC 1
Bee Park
Our under 14 green team were very unfortunate to go down to Manorhamilton Rangers on Saturday morning last when two late goals denied them a draw.
Goalkeeper Ciaran Doyle was outstanding and was well supported by a strong and resolute backline of Cathal Henry, Neil Murray, Cian Byrnes and Mickey Reddin. Overall this was a great battling performance from our lads and we got a deserved goal when a superb Dylan Doherty free kick was parried and captain Liam Ryan followed in to score.
This was a very promisisng start for our lads who came under a lot of pressure but still managed to create chances throughout the game.
