Strand Celtic formed a goalkeeping academy in February 2010 with a view to helping our young goalkeepers get the specialised training that they require. The academy has two sections for our Colts and for our Youths. It is also geared towards boys and girls.

The academy dates are maintained on the club noticeboard on our website (under news) and on the noticeboard in our clubhouse. Players need to take footwear for both grass and astroturf each week.

The academy is open to BOYS and GIRLS.

AIDAN CARTY - Former Strand Celtic and Coolera GAA goalkeeper

DAMIEN MCCALLION - Former Sligo-Leitrim League Representative Team Goalkeeper
