Our under 14 side had an excellent home win over a gallant Arrow Harps side in Strandhill on Saturday morning last.

It was a busy but not that successful weekend for our boys youth teams.

There was mixed results for our senior teams at the weekend. Our first team dug out a great result with a 3-1 victory in the relegation battle with Manorhamilton Rangers.

Our annual 2012 calendar is still on sale and will be sold throughout strandhill, ransboro, and the west side of Sligo town.

Our U16 player Lauren Boles was selected as part of the squad for the republic of Ireland U17 Euro 2012 U17 qualifiers in Macedonia for the next two weeks.

Our annual pick a winner competition where you pick two results each week from the English premier league kicks off on Saturday 15th October.

Our annual christmas calendar is progressing well. This years calendar is seeking photographs of the knocknarea pensinuala and is funds are being directed to pay our debt on development of the park.

In a clash similar to the U12 development final of last season, a great game of football was played by both sides but the result was in favour of the home side on this ocassion.

Our U16 side were unfortunate to exit the national cup in Ballina on Saturday last. Despite having lots of possession a failure to convert chances proved their undoing. Despite playing most of the second half after the rather harsh red card dealt to Conor Morahan the team continued to keep the ball well and were unlucky to exit to two superb late strikes from Conn Rangers.

Great wins in the Connacht Cup today for all sides with wins for the U12, U14 and U16 sides.

Emma Hansberry played in the Republic of Irelands 1-0 win in the EURO U19 Elite qualifier in portugal today. Emma played 75 minutes and had a good game for the girls in green. Well done to Emma on progressing her international career.
